Angelina Jolie battled with anorexia and self-harming in her formative years growing up in Los Angeles, claims a new report.
Cis Rundle, a friend of the star’s late mother Marcheline Bertrand, spoke with RadarOnline about the 39-year-old’s childhood in a new interview.
Rundle claims she ‘carried’ Jolie into a hospital during her ‘anorexic stage’ as a teenager after the actress’ mother ‘got scared that she wasn’t eating’.

Speaking with the website, the woman alleges that Jolie battled not only anorexia but also witnessed the future star’s tendency towards self-harming behaviour as a child.
‘She just liked that little bit of pain. She liked that edge,’ Rundle told Radar after describing how Jolie used to dip her fingers in candle wax as a child.
Rundle claims she was Marcheline’s best friend and was asked to start watching Jolie back in the 1970s, when Angelina was just three-years-old.
